Overview

[68Ga]Ga-DOTA-(2P-PEG4) is a radiopharmaceutical diagnostic tracer designed for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of prostate cancer. It targets the prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA), which is highly expressed in prostate cancer cells. The molecule is a multivalent (dimeric) PSMA ligand conjugated with a polyethylene glycol (PEG4) chain to optimize pharmacokinetics. The PEGylation and dimerization are intended to enhance tumor-targeting affinity through the multivalent effect while promoting faster renal clearance and reducing blood half-life compared to monomeric tracers. It utilizes the DOTA chelator to complex the positron-emitting radioisotope Gallium-68.
